Renton est une ville américaine située dans le comté de King dans l'État de Washington. La population de la ville était en 2007 de 78.290 habitants, et si l'on ajoute les villages alentours, la population de la ville est supérieure à 110.000 habitants. La ville fait partie de la banlieue de Seattle. La ville a été incorporée en 1901 à une époque où l'industrie minière (charbon) et l'industrie du bois étaient prépondérantes. La population de la ville a fortement augmenté pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale quand Boeing a construit une usine pour fabriquer ses avions Boeing B-29 Superfortress. Cette usine qui produit toujours des avions est toujours l'employeur principal de la ville. Les éditeurs de jeux Wizards of the Coast et R. Talsorian Games sont basés à Renton.
