Description de Iron Bridge


Le pont Iron Bridge est le premier grand pont métallique jamais construit. Il franchit le fleuve Severn au niveau de la vallée d'Ironbridge, dans laquelle est situé le village d’Ironbridge, dans le Shropshire, Angleterre (environ km au Nord-Ouest de Birmingham). * Iron Bridge (en deux mots) désigne le pont lui-même, tandis qu’Ironbridge (en un seul mot) est le nom du village qui lui a emprunté son nom. * Le pont est connu aussi sous le nom de Pont de Coalbrookdale.
